Mr. Abdul Razzak Dawood
Mr. A. Razzak Dawood is the Chairman Pakistan Business Council and Managing Director of Descon Engineering Limited and six other private companies. He has worked as Managing Director of Lawrencepur Textile Mills and Dawood Hercules Chemicals Limited. He is also a Director of United Refrigeration Industries (pvt) Limited. He was a visiting professor of Department of Business Administration at the University of Punjab, Management Association of Pakistan; Member Syndicate, the University of Punjab as well as member Senate, University of Punjab; Member, Board of Studies, Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology and Director of Pakistan International Airlines. He was also the Federal Commerce Minister for four years in the first cabinet of General Pervez Musharraf. Mr. Razzak Dawood has been an active philanthropist and at present he is the Rector, Lahore University of Management Sciences to which his family has donated generously; Vice Chairman, Board of Governors, National Management Foundation; Member, Board of Governors, Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital and Research Centre. Mr. Dawood is a BSc. Mining Engineering from England and MBA Columbia University, USA.
Mr. Jamal Arif

Jamal Arif has a career spanning over 30 years in the field of marketing and sales of electronics and hardware in USA. He has worked with top brands like Sun Microsystems, Fujitsu Electronics, Hynix, Mitsubishi Electronics, AMI and National Semiconductors and Hitachi Electronics. His roles included identifying market opportunities, developing and executing marketing and sales strategies, recruiting and working with channel partners and developing business partnerships. He has a track record of significantly boosting unit sales in fiercely competitive and down market through his strategies. Mr. Arif currently lectures at Lahore University of Management and Sciences as a visiting professor. He holds an MBA from University of Oregon USA, business diploma from Curtin University Australia and undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from UET Lahore. Mr. Arif was also a visiting scholar at Harvard University, USA.
Mr. Waleed Iqbal

Waleed Iqbal graduated from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (B.S.Econ.), University of Cambridge (M. Phil.), University of Punjab (LL.B.) (Gold Medalist) and Harvard Law School (LL.M.). Before joining the firm, Walid Iqbal worked at two leading international law firms, Sullivan & Cromwell (from 1997 to 2001) and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (from 2001 to 2004). He specialises in corporate and project finance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate restructurings. He is admitted to practice in New York and Pakistan, and is also admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of England and Wales. He is also a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN). He is currently advising Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank in Deutsche Telekom's multi-currency, multitranche global debt offering of US$ 14.6 billion; advising International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in the project financing of the wireless telecommunications service provider Sonic Duo; advising Groupe Danone in its acquisition of Chock & Rolls Company, the Russian manufacturing subsidiary of Chupa Chups S.A., through a combined share and asset acquisition; and advising the Yukos Group in its acquisition of a majority shareholding in Arctic Gas Company from Benton Oil and Gas Company.

His research interests include Information systems development methodologies, global software development, information technology utilization effectiveness, and management of technology. He is a strong supporter of new entrepreneurial ventures bringing innovative technology for use of masses. He has an MS, PhD and a management degree from Stanford and is currently acting as a Vice Chancellor of LUMS.
